Having lived the last 10 years of my life on the coastal waters around Vancouver Island, I’ve spent many hours on the sea. Being a Coxswain with the Canadian Coast Guard Aux. unit #37 in Sooke, I have also obtained the needed training and tickets to operate a whale watching vessel and have been honoured to work part time as a whale watching operator with Sooke Coastal Explorations.
In doing so I’ve been so fortunate to spend much time with some very large and impressive creatures of the sea.
I believe everyone should have a chance to see these animals interacting in their natural environment.
